The first thing you'll need is your URL, or domain name.
URL stands for Uniform Resourse Locator and works much like your phone number allowing people across the world to find you on the Internet.
Most website designers charge you extra for your domain name but with Luckycat it's free!
Careful thought should be
given to your domain name as it will reflect the type of site you wish to create. Note that all domain names also carry an extension
such as com, org or net. Com stands for commercial,org for organization and net for a network. Although many new extensions have been recently added, if you wish to sell or market something you'll probably want the .com extension, which is the most common and sought after.
Some examples might be:

sainteugenechurch. org. (an organization) www. superphone.net (a phone network).Once you've acquired your domain name you'll need someone
to put your ideas into the form of a website. Web
sites are created using a special language called HTTP (Hyperrtext Transfer
Protocol.) Cool huh? It may sound a little scary, but don't worry that's our job! All we will
need from you is a description of what you're trying to achieve and any related photos or written text describing your work, hobby or product. We'll be happy to meet with in person to discuss you new site. Don't fret is you're not another John Steinbeck, we'll edit your text and make suggestions to help you better get your ideas across.
You'll need to provide for us any images that will appear
on your website. These can be in either digital form, or from photos that we can scan into a digital form sutable for the web. We are highly skilled in the
use of Adobe Photoshop, and will size and color correct your images at no additional charge.
Once we have completed you
website (usually less that a week) the final thing you will need is a
reliable web hosting company. A web hostomg company is a business that holds your website on their servers and makes them available to the world wide web. (the Internet).
We are affiliated with
Lunarpages, one of America's largest hosting providers, and recommend their highly reliable and cost efficient service. The cost to host your site is around $100. per year, and can be
payed by check or conveinantly billed to your credit card.
Of course you are free to chose your own web host. In
that event we'll provide you with a CD of your completed site so that you can upload it to whomever you wish.
